Frequently asked questions
What is AI character chat?
It is a conversation with a character played by an AI, based on a description of their personality, background and way of talking. The guide to AI companions explains how the replies are made.
Is AI character chat free on tempteo?
Text chat comes with a free allowance once you sign in. Premium adds unlimited messages and monthly credits for images, video and voice messages, and one-time credit packs are also available.
How is a custom character different from the catalog?
Catalog characters are ready to chat with, and each has her own profile. With the creator you pick the look, personality and name yourself, and her chat opens once she’s created.
Is my chat private?
The current Privacy Policy explains how tempteo handles account and conversation data. Check it before sharing anything sensitive.
Do I need to download anything?
No. tempteo runs in your browser. Some tools need an account, and voice input needs a microphone.
Where can I read the chat rules?
tempteo’s Terms and Safety Guidelines explain what’s allowed, and moderation applies to every account.
