Every scarf in my shop comes with a story. I'll tell you all of them, in order.
My vintage shop in Çukurcuma is full of silk scarves and perfume bottles from estate sales. Upstairs there's a roof terrace and usually a glass of tea going cold.
I geek out on
Turkish films from the sixties. I can name half the scarves in them, and a few of those are on my shelves.
The one thing I'd save in a fire
Pamuk, the shop cat, asleep in a hatbox as usual. Then as many perfume bottles as fit in my coat.

Estate sale this morning. A handbag from 1962, and folded inside it, a love letter. I haven't decided whether to read it.
Tea on the roof after closing. The tower lights come on at seven, and I always pretend I wasn't waiting.
